The Language Gala

Nibong Tebal- A second-year student from the School of Electric and Electronic Engineering, USM Engineering campus, placed third in the Language Gala. Ameerah Adlina Binti Azhar competed in the Foreign Language category because she was studying Chinese (LAC 100).

The Language Gala, which took place from March 22nd to July 11th, 2021, involved all USM students enrolled in language classes and was divided into several categories. Students representing the Chinese language were required to record a video of themselves conversing in Chinese, with the content based on their own creativity.

Ameerah's video is inspired by the popular online game 'Minecraft.' She explored the 'Minecraft' world in Chinese and demonstrated some of the elements she and her friends created. At the end of the video, she thanked Madam Khor Gek Suan, her Chinese teacher, and her friends for their assistance in creating content and advising her on how to make an interesting video in Chinese.
